We Miss You!

Going more into detail Gerald Levert is not the only person who played a part in my decision to pursue photography. I think maybe I decided to highlight his influence because not long after I had the pleasure of attending his 40th birthday party he passed away. So with that being said I also have to give credit where it is due. Im sure some of the visitors of www.picsimpson.com remember the group The Rude Boys. Well the lead singer who’s name is Joe Little is actually the person who invited me to the party where i met Gerald as well as some other influential people in Cleveland Ohio. Now Ive always been a fan of music as well as a musician myself so it shouldn’t come to anyones surprise that I was already familiar with the works of The Rude Boys, Levert and a host of other Cleveland artist who were successful in the music business.

Moving right along i will get more into how i actually ended up being invited the party,But first I would also like to mention some of the other people i had the pleasure to come in to contact with at this party. While Doing my best to get good snapshots of Joe little singing happy birthday to Gerald I was approached by two individuals about doing some event photography. Little did i know the individuals who approached me would ultimately change the direction of my photography career which was up until that point all but nonexistent.
